Review - Christian Music
KPRR - Praise Report Radio Online interviewed Stan Gibson.
Stan is one of the executive producers of "The Net."
The Net Music Compilation is a "Contemporary Christian innovative
mix of original tracks" offered by SLM Records. We asked
Stan a few questions about this project.
KPRR: Who is the artist for "I Need
You More"?
Stan: "Artist: Debbie Ko. A
worship leader at Angelus Temple Hispanic Foursquare Church."
KPRR: "I Need You More" is one
song on a compilation album. What is the album and who are the
groups?
Stan: "'The Net Music
Compilation 2004.' The groups are: Asegue, Chris Diaz, Eric Diaz,
Debbie Ko"
KPRR: What is the main focus of the
compilation?
Stan:
"To give the worship leaders a chance to
express themselves through praise and worship songs and to
express themselves individually through their music."
KPRR: What were some of the struggles you
faced putting together a Christian compilation CD?
Stan: "Picking the
right songs, not giving into the temptation to go away from Christian
music, Making a quality CD that would fit mainstream radio."
KPRR: What are some of God's blessings
that came out of making this CD?
Stan:
“'Everyone on this CD will have individual
projects and will have an opportunity to take their music ministry
abroad."
KPRR:
Do you have any tips for other Christian producers who want to
put together a multi-song, multi-group project?
Stan: "For me, Stan
Gibson, I feel you must change with the recession of Christian music.
People are attracted to the modern trends expressed through music.
Producers should make their music high quality the first time around."
KPRR:
Where can people get a hold of the CD or contact
the groups?
Stan: "Family
Christian, Lifeway Berean Christian Stores. Online:
CDbaby.com/Net"
KPRR: Well Stan, thank you so much for giving us insight
into a compilation project through the eyes of an executive
producer. May God richly bless this project and others to come.
